The AlphaMYND Intelligence Program (AMI Program) is a home-based and school-based nuerofeedback training and virtual neuro coaching program. This means that brainwave training and can be done from the comfort and privacy of your home, while traveling, or from anywhere. The school-based training is structure a little differently than individuals training at home. The equipment is the same (AlphaMYND Band and carrying case), and is small and easily carried in a purse, backpack, or luggage. The training software is accessible from your cell phone or tablet. The AlphaMYND Band and training software connect and communicate with each other via Bluetooth technology.
While in the home-based program your child / teen is expected to spend at least 30 minutes a day 6 days a week independently engaged in the neurofeedback portion of the training program for the duration of your selected program (see options below). The virtual neuro coaching portion of the training program is a one-on-one live video with Dr. Tam for 1 hour a week for the duration of your selected program (see options below).
Neuro Coaching
In neuro coaching Dr. Tam will work with your child / teen to develop a personalized training plan based on their specific goals and areas of concern, such as improving attention, controlling impulsivity, or reducing anxiety. To begin the training program, during their first session, she will conduct pre-MYND neuro assessment. While they're logged into the training software from their cell phone or tablet and wearing your AlphaMYND Band, she will ask you to perform specific tasks, such as focusing on a particular image or thought in order to establish a baseline of their brainwave activity in reference to ADHD symptoms.
Behind the Scenes
Behind the scenes of their pre-MYND assessment and all other neuro coaching sessions, Dr. Tam will observe and review their live EEG report from her practitioner's dashboard of the software as they are actively engaged in the neuro training tasks. The EEG reports show live video graphs and charts that continuously fluctuate according to their present brainwave activity. This shows:

WHEN they are in sync with their neuro training protocols for controlling the brainwaves that contribute to your ADHD symptoms.

HOW frequently they are able to synchronize to the ADHD training protocols.

HOW they are able to maintain a synchronized level of brainwave frequency uninterrupted.
Dr. Tam can review and analyze their progress and areas of more needed training as they engage in the neuro training tasks. Based on the EEG reports she will also teach them a variety of techniques and strategies that will help them become more aware of their own thoughts and behaviors, and teach them strategies to control their emotions and reactions.
The AlphaMYND Intelligence Training requires your and your child's / teen's commitment, consistency, effort, follow through, and accountability in order to have the results they desire and the results you desire for them.
